Sada Williams created history yesterday, becoming the first Barbadian athlete to win two World Championship medals.
Williams followed up last year’s Bronze medal performance in the Women’s 400 metres in Eugene, Oregon, United States, with another third place performance in Budapest, Hungary, stopping the clock in 49.60 seconds for back-to-back podium finishes.
She finished behind the winner Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic in 48.76, and Natalia Kaczmarek of Poland in 49.57.
A CBC team hit the road after the event to get a taste of how Bajans feel about Sada’s success.
