With the Barbados Pride team set to do battle starting on February 7, in the CWI 4-day Championship, there is still a buzz surrounding the team selected for the first round of matches in Jamaica.
Making his debut will be Shaquille Cumberbatch who received his official gear recently from BCA CEO Dr. Roland Toppin and Cricket Operations and Development Manager Wendell Coppin.
Chairman of Selectors Henderson Broomes spoke to the process of choosing the players to get things going for the Pride.
Up for grabs will be 250 thousand U.S. dollars in prize money, and while this is a great incentive it will not be the focus of the Pride team.
Barbados’ first game will be against the Combined Campuses and Colleges at Chedwin Park.
