BFA premiership continues

Paradise are the champions of the BFA Women’s Super League, after defeating Wales in the 2023 final played at the Wildey Turf last night.

That lone goal came from Shanelle Als in the 27th minute.

Meanwhile, Wales started the defence of their Men’s BFA Premier League title with a four-nil win over Paradise, when the 2024 season kicked off with a doubleheader last night.

Ackeel Applewaite booted the first goal for Wales in the 10th minute, followed with the second by Andre Applewaite in the 25th.

The third came from Nadre Butcher in the 45th, and then the fourth was compliments Kemar Headley in the 59th.

In the night’s other game, Kick-Start Rush were two-nil winners over Ellerton.

Those two goals were from Ethan Taylor in the 15th minute and Nathan McCollin in the 67th.

Action in the BFA premiership continues tomorrow night with another doubleheader at the turf, where Deacons face Barbados Soccer Academy at 7 p.m., and then Wotton play U.W.I. Blackbirds at 9 p.m.
