The first set of fifty bleachers are expected to be in Barbados early next week, to accommodate sporting and other events at several grounds across the island.
This was disclosed at Parish Speaks in St. Peter at the Alexandra School, by Director of Sports at the National Sports Council Neil Murrell.
Additionally Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley said the bleachers, which can seat between 500 to 1000 people, are a needed upgrade to playing fields.
