The Barbados Cricket Association and the Barbados Public Workers’ Co-operative Credit Union Limited have formed a new partnership ahead of tomorrow’s final of the 2023 Schools’ Under-19 Cricket competition.
During a media conference at Kensington Oval this morning, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at the Credit Union Gail Best-Niles, presented officials at the BCA with a cheque worth $10,000.
She says it’s part of the Credit Union’s commitment to the Under-19 cricket tournament, and assisting young players in planning their financial future.
Chief Executive Officer at the BCA Dr. Roland Toppin, believes the sponsorship will go a long way in helping to develop the next generation of Barbadian cricket stars.
Ahead of tomorrow’s highly anticipated final at Yorkshire between Queen’s College and Foundation, there is fierce rivalry and QC’s Captain Preston Clarke says he’s confident of victory.
His opposite Joshua Dorne, is also optimistic of winning the title.
The final is set to bowl off at 11:00 a.m.
