Cobia ‘Soldier’ Breedy has issued a rallying call to all Barbadians to show their support on Friday for his 10 round bout against Suleiman Segawa of Uganda.
The fight, which is set for Washington, DC in the USA, will be held at the Entertainment & Sports Arena.
The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment and the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation are bringing live coverage of the entire fight-night from 9:00 p.m. on CBC TV8, and Breedy wants to enter the arena for the beltway battles to a Barbadian song.
Speaking on Mornin’ Barbados, Breedy and his coach Floyd Seymour said the initiative is to help further promote the island.
Co-manager Derrick Curry, who is also an east coast boxing scout & recruiter for Mayweather Promotions, says Cobia’s style of boxing makes him a dangerous opponent.
Breedy, whose record is 15-1, will be aiming to secure the WBC Continental Americas Featherweight title.
