BWU Gladiola has lifted the 2023 BCA T20 Cup.
They played the entire competition unbeaten, after defeating Bayview Hospital YMCP by five wickets in the final Sunday evening at the Weymouth Cricket Ground.
Batting first, YMPC posted 157 for eight off their 20 overs, led with 48 from Ramon Kellman that included 11-fours and a six, and 47 from Dwayne Smith with 4-fours and 2-sixes. Those two put on 92 for the opening stand.
Korie Miller took four for 31 and player of the match Matthew Jones three for 16.
In reply, an unbroken 58-run 6th wicket partnership between Jones and Ashley Nurse saw Gladiola to the title at 160 for 5 off 18.5 overs.
Jones’ 39 included 5-fours and 2-sixes, while nurse’s 24 had 3-sixes.
Randy Thomas added 34 and Kemar Harte 31.
