Junior Walrond is the early leader in the Henderson Layne Elite Draughts Tournament which got underway at Best Road in Christ Church.
Walrond registered a win and a draw against Carson Farley and now has three points.
Farley received one point for the draw.
Meanwhile, the top seeds Ronald ‘Suki’ King and Jack Francis both have two points after drawing their games against Jeffery “Socks” Clarke and Rawle Williams respectively.
12 players are entered in the tournament which continues on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Ruben Yammi Draughts Centre.
