England and Scotland shared a point each as excessive rain at Kensington Oval led to their group ‘B’ T-20 World Cup game being called off.
After rain reduced the match to 10 overs per side after a delayed start and two rain stoppages scotland posted 90 without loss courtesy of openers George Munsey 41 and Michael Jones 45 going unbeaten.
Before the rains came and play was abandoned just before 3 p.m.
The result is by no means a dent in either side’s hopes of progressing from the group which also includes Australia, Oman and Namibia but heightens the importance of their later games.
England’s next match is against Australia on Saturday while Scotland plays Namibia on Thursday.
