Gladiola bowled over

It was not the start defending champions BWU/Superb Blend Gladiola would have wanted as they lost their opening match of the BCA T20 Cup today.

Playing at home at rices against Yorkshire they were sent in to bat and held to 129 in their 20 overs, with Persaud ending with figures of three for nine. In reply, Yorkshire made 130 for five in their 20 overs to win by five wickets. Ryshon Williams led with 35.

In another match at Waterford, BDF beat SigniaGlobe Financial Inc. BCA Youth by six runs. Scores: BDF 150-7, BCA Youth 144-8. At Bank Hall: Empire beat UWI by 16 runs. Empire 213-3; UWI 197-5. Over at Beckles Road, Bayview Hospital YMPC beat St. Catherine by 134 runs. YMPC 208-2, St. Catherine 74 all out.

Windward beat Serve to Save Security Services Lords by 87 runs at Lowlands. Windward 221-4, Lords 134-7. Over at Trents: Maple beat Carlton by six wickets. Carlton 112-7, Maple 115-4. At Dayrells Road: Wanderers beat Walkers Reserve Isolation Cavaliers by six wickets. Isolation Cavaliers 99-8, Wanderers 102-4.

At SJPIT: Wildey beat Police by nine runs. Wildey 165-7; Police 156-8. Over at Queen’s Park: ESA Field Pickwick beat Fusionz Boutique Spartan by six wickets. Spartan 152-9, Pickwick 158-4.
