May 16, 2024

In an effort to engage Barbadian youth in more wholesome activities, the National Peace Programme is staging the activated T-10 Community Cricket Tournament, with the aim of uniting communities mainly in the north of the island through cricket.

Twelve teams are participating in the tournament for a grand prize of 10,000 dollars with second prize being 5,000 dollars.

The inaugural matches will take place at Maple, Sion Hill, North Stars and Boscobelle.

There will also be an opening cricket festival at North Stars.

Speaking during the official media launch, Minister in the Attorney General’s Office with Responsibility for Crime Prevention, Corey Lane, says it is another way of providing young people with a positive alternative.
