West Indies White Ball Head Coach Darren Sammy says the two-time champions are capable of lifting the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup trophy on home soil and as apart of their preparations, a historic T20 ‘A’ team tour of Nepal consisting of five matches is set for April 27 to May 5.
Speaking during a media conference at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Sammy, who led the men in maroon to the title in 2012 and 2016, and is the only captain to win the tournament twice, believes his team can deliver in front of their fans.
Sammy also revealed that his World Cup squad is all but selected, with room for one or two more players to create an x factor in both the batting and bowling departments.
