The Barbados Skateboarding Association is continuing its quest to grow the sport locally and ultimately produce the first Barbadian who will represent the island in the discipline at the Olympics.
That’s the word from its President, Adrian Bowen.
He was speaking to CBC on the sidelines of the recent ‘One Movement International Skate Meet’, which attracted regional and international skaters.
The US Embassy of Bridgetown was one of the sponsors for the meet, and its representative, Donald Maynard, says it blended well with their ongoing drive to develop the sport.
