St. Leonard’s Boys are the champions of the BCA Sir Everton Weekes Schools’ Under 13 Cricket Championship.
Playing at Briar Hall today, the SLB team claimed a ten-wicket win over Christ Church Foundation after rain affected play late in the encounter.
SLB won the toss and put their opponents in to bat, and the boys from Church Hill posted a total of 143 for six in 32 overs.
St. Leonard’s then got up to 78 without loss before rain halted play, and on resumption they were set a revised target of 118 from 26 overs.
They achieved it without losing a single wicket making 118 in 21 overs.
Player of the match, Captain Kelani Clarke, made 71 inclusive of 7- fours and a six and Kieran Gittens 26.
