Table tennis clubs join fight against violence

The National Peace Programme continues to engage communities across the island through sport.

In a joint effort with the Caribbean Unity Sports Club, a youth table tennis initiative between the communities of Passage Road, St. Michael and North Stars in St. Lucy has been launched.

The Caribbean Unity Sports Club founded by national table tennis player Kevin Farley back in 2017, has been exposing youth across the island to the sport both locally and on a regional level through participation in competitions.

He says this new partnership with North Stars is part of the Programme’s expansion across the island.

Programme Manager of the National Peace Programme Armani Best lauded the work done by Mr. Farley and his team and says it is initiatives like this that continue the mandate of his department.
