If professional boxing is to return to Barbados something has to be done about the lack of a National Boxing Board of Control.
Promoter Sam Layne has lashed out at a lack of governmental support in appointing such a board, as he was speaking on the backdrop of having to seek assistance from Guyana in getting two of his boxers licensed for an event.
Layne was also up in arms at the administration of the National Boxing Association, where he believes more persons who are more affiliated with the sport should be the ones to lead.
