Tuach sent to repechage at World Surf Games

Barbados’ top local surfer Chelsea Tuach has crashed out of the main round at the Women’s Championship of the World Surf Games in La Marginal, Puerto Rico.

Tuach, who sat in second up until the dying stages, ended third in her heat with a score of 8.67 behind winner Sally Fitzgibbons of Australia who scored an 11.67. Tuach now goes into repechage four.

She joins Chelsea Roett, who was second in her repechage round three heat with a wave total of 9.37.

On the men’s side, the Burke brothers Josh and Jacob, are both into repechage four, after second-place finishes in their heat.
