The champions are back home!
The Barbados Baby Gems touched down at the Grantley Adams International Airport last evening to a warm reception from family, friends and Minister of Sports Charles Griffith, after they captured the Jean Pierre Caribbean Under-16 Netball Youth Championship in St. Lucia for a third straight time.
Led by Goal Shooter and the tournament’s MVP Keanna Harte, the young Gems outclassed their opponents 27-19 to again end the tournament with an unbeaten record intact.
Dominica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and hosts St. Lucia were the other participating countries.
Head Coach Cameron Greenidge says preparations paid off.
