Commonwealth Games Women’s 400 metre champion Sada Williams of Barbados is through to the final of the NACAC Championships, where she’ll face the world champion Shaunae Miller-Uibo.
Running in the heats today in the Bahamas, Williams won heat #2 in 51.48 seconds to be the 2nd-fastest qualifier behind hometown girl Miller-Uibo, who took heat #1 in 50.84.
The final is set for tomorrow at 6:25 p.m.
Three other athletes from Barbados have made the trip, including Sonia Gaskin who will compete in the 800 metres, Shane Brathwaite in the 110 metre hurdles and Kuron Griffith in the 100 and 200 metres.
NACAC 2022 began today and will end on Sunday.
