Windies Women beaten by eight wickets

Australia Women defeated West Indies Women by eight wickets in the opening Twenty20 International, of the three-match series at North Sydney Oval there on Sunday.

The Windies Women were sent in to bat, making 147 for three in their 20 overs. In reply, the Australian Women made 149 for two in just 13.2 overs.

Windies captain Hayley Matthews was the Player of the Match, making 99 off of 74 balls, then returning with the ball to take one wicket in her two overs and conceding 17 runs.
