A Senior Minister in Barbados is suggesting that the CARICOM Development Fund is insufficient given the scope of development projects for member states.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Kerrie Symmonds, says the Fund over its time has not surpassed 200 million US dollars.
Mr Symmonds’s comments came during the second Canada-Caribbean Symposium at the UWI Cave Hill Campus.
He sees opportunities for Caribbean countries in signing on to the Dedicated Development Assistance Fund of 1.5 Billion US for CARICOM offered by the African Export-Import Bank.
