Scores of temporary workers hired by Government to boost its national COVID-19 response, have been able to turn the opportunity into alternative employment.
In a release Health and Wellness Minister Senator Dr. The Most Honourble Jerome Walcott noted 538 people were recruited to serve in various capacities during the pandemic, with the understanding their service was temporary.
Minister Walcott says based on declining national trends, the national response was reduced, with the Emergency Management Order coming to an end in December last year.
He revealed while 160 individuals found jobs elsewhere or resigned, many were able to find employment within the Ministry of Health.
