Geophysical tests are being conducted across the island, as Barbados moves to secure more water.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley provided further insight as she responded to a range of concerns expressed by St. Joseph residents at the Parish Speaks held at the Grantley Adams Memorial School last night.
She says these tests are in a bid to assess where the deficits are and what truly is the ground water deficit.
This, she says, will inform decisions on water to come from desalination, beyond what is provided by the Ionics plant.
Barbados has also had meetings with the research and development organization, Google X, regarding technological solutions that will be of benefit to the island.
