As Labour Day draws near, the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados (CTUSAB) is making a pitch for young Barbadians to join a trade union.
CTUSAB, as it gears up to commemorate the Day with a rally and concert in Golden Square Freedom Park in Bridgetown, is focusing on the youth, and says it promises to be an educational and entertaining event.
The day will be observed under the theme “Stronger Together, Young and Unionised”.
Public Relations Officer, Tara Durant says there’s a notion workers only need a union when they need representation.
