NCD threat increasing

A stark warning for Barbados and the region that the future does not look bright as the threat of non communicable diseases are increasing and will impact on our existence.

The region has heard from Vice President of the Healthy Caribbean Coalition Dr. Kenneth Connell that prevention is the solution for NCDs and the targeting of children, who are the future, is required.

He weighed in on the impact of NCDs during the latest Caribbean Economic Forum hosted by the Central Bank of Barbados.

The topic, “Managing the Costs of and Economic Fallout from Non Communicable Diseases”.
