The filming of the popular Netflix series Outer Banks in Barbados, has resulted in a major improvement to one of the island’s attractions.
Instead of simply entering through a gate, visitors to the Welchman Hall Gully in St. Thomas will now venture through a cave to gain access.
Speaking during the official opening, Director, Debra Branker, said it’s been a long time vision of hers, 15 years in the making.
Member of Parliament, Cynthia Forde, lauded the upgrades to the attraction which she notes has been transformed from a stroll through a forest to an important and self-sufficient natural heritage site.
These include self-guided audio tours available in multiple languages and a resurfacing of the carpark.
