Stepped up efforts to create more opportunities for businesses and residents in Speightstown by intensifying linkages with South Carolina.
The latest attempt came this morning, in the form of a roundtable discussion hosted by the St. Peter Parish Organising Committee.
Over forty business owners from South Carolina attended the session while several local entrepreneurs were present.
During his address, Dwayne Green of the Barbados Carolinas Legacy Foundation suggested the partnership could lead to more educational and employment openings along with the revitalisation of Speightstown.
He also hinted at a collective process that could be used to access grant funding to restore old buildings in the area.
And Speightstown proprietors and entrepreneurs are upbeat about the partnership.
They even shared their views on the progress made over time.
