The Adopt-A-Family programme will be scaling back the number of people it assists as more people return to work.
Word of this from Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, Corey Lane, as he reminded the programme’s current and potential clients they have until Wednesday to register.
Mr. Lane tells CBC News 4309 people are currently being assisted with monthly grants of $600, under the programme designed to help those households not receiving any income.
He says with the phased reopening of the economy almost complete, it has become necessary to streamline the list of clients.
