The top three interns at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital have been reminded that who they are as people is far more important than them being doctors.
The reminder came from Chief Operations Officer at the Martindale’s Road facility, Louise Bobb.
She was speaking at a brief ceremony to reward the top three interns for 2020-2021, Doctors Dario Nurse and Melissa Brathwaite, as well as intern of the year, Dr. Elan Howell.
Director of Medical Services at the QEH, Dr. Clyde Cave says the title of ‘Intern of the Year’ does not go to the highest academic scorer but who best embodies the characteristics of a young doctor.
After a year of personal and professional challenges, Dr. Howell has come out on top.
