The 2023 sugar harvest will begin next month.
That is the word from the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security, Indar Weir.
He told CBC News last year was a good season where 7,000 tonnes of sugar was produced and he is looking forward to the new season.
The Minister said the focus will be on molasses this year, as greater yields are expected since the former Clico lands will be put into production.
