The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 291 new COVID-19 cases, 150 males and 141 females, on Saturday, October 23rd. The facility conducted 2,638 tests.

The new positives comprise 65 people who are under the age of 18, and 226 who are 18 years and older.

There are 794 people in isolation facilities, and 4,514 in home isolation.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases recorded since March last year is now 15,341 (7,436 males and 7,905 females).

The public health laboratory has carried out 374,857 tests since February 2020.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of people with at least one dose is 146,877 (64.3% of the eligible population).

The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 121,347 (44.8% of the total population or 53.1% of the eligible population).

The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.
