There is even greater concern in Barbados, as six people passed away from COVID-19 in a short period of time.
Word of this came from COVID-19 Public Advisor, David Ellis.
He told CBC News that while he could not provide any further details on the matter at this time, he could confirm that six people succumbed to the virus between yesterday and today.
While CBC News reported on two COVID-19 related deaths yesterday, three additional deaths last night and one this morning brought the total number of people who succumbed to the illness in Barbados to 75.
The Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation extends condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
