The Alliance Owners of Public Transport (AOPT) has welcomed the news of the cap on gas and diesel prices.
During a televised press briefing yesterday, Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley announced Government will be placing a ceiling on the price of gasoline and diesel starting Friday.
Ms. Mottley also spoke of plans to extend the cap on VAT on petrol for another six months.
AOPT’s Communication, Information and Marketing Officer, Mark Haynes tells CBC it’s a step in the right direction.
