Health officials are warning Barbadians to brace for a significant surge in daily COVID-19 cases.
This comes as models project thousands of people contracting the viral illness in coming weeks.
The information was shared evening during a televised conversation with the country, involving Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley and several health officials.
Presenting the actual numbers was Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anton Best, who said the models were conducted in conjunction with the University of the West Indies.
Dr. Best also shared the projections for hospitalisations.
