Barbados has told Belize it views the fellow CARICOM state as a trusted ally and a critical partner in the mission to advance the 15 member bloc.
This message was conveyed by Barbados’ Ambassador to CARICOM David Comissiong, who is also the non resident High Commissioner to Belize.
Yesterday he presented his letter of credence to the Belizean Governor General Dame Fyoyla Tzalam at Belize House in the capital, Belmopan.
Ambassador Comissiong assured Dame Froyla that Belize will always be able to rely on active solidarity and support from Barbados.
Dame Froyla in turn accepted his letter and welcomed Mr. Comissiong to Belize.
She also wished him well during his tenure.
The Ambassador later in the day made a speech before an audience at the University of Belize.
The topic, CARICOM/Caribbean Integration, Barbados/ Belize Relations, and the Caribbean Reparatory Justice Initiatives.
