Barbados foresees challenges for the Caribbean as countries across North America, Europe and parts of Asia now grapple with drought conditions.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley shone the spotlight on this as she addressed the opening of the region’s second Agri Investment Forum and Expo in Trinidad and Tobago.
The event, which comes months after the inaugural expo was held in Guyana, closes on Sunday.
It is being held under the theme ‘Transforming Agriculture Through Innovation and Investment’.
