One area of Deacons Farm, which was subjected to illegal dumping, will soon be cleaner after the Ministry of the Environment and National Beautification launched a Clean and Green programme there.
Environment Minister Adrian Forde and St. Michael North-West MP Neil Rowe planted a tree.
The majority of trees planted will be fruit trees, to transform the eyesore which resident Marcia Robinson is happy to see being addressed. She wants everyone to keep it clean.
Meanwhile Mr. Rowe said the journey began in Ferniehurst by creating a recreational area and he’s happy to be able to extend the project to Deacons Farm.
