The COVID-19 pandemic is said to be adding to the woes Barbadians are experiencing regarding literacy.
As Barbados joins the world in celebrating International Literacy Day, an educator in the field wants to know where the country stands where literacy is concerned.
Sandie Field-Kellman says knowing the literacy rate will ultimately assist parents.
Ms. Field-Kellman was a guest on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
She also wants parents to get back to reading daily for their children.
