The Ministry of Health and Wellness is informing the public that there was an error with respect to the vaccination status of a deceased 90 year old woman, who passed away as a result of COVID-19 on June 8th, 2022.
It says a subsequent investigation revealed that the lady was, in fact, fully vaccinated when she passed.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. The Most Honourable Kenneth George has expressed sincerest apologies and deepest condolences to her family members.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness says it endeavours to disseminate accurate information which is in the best interest of the public, while respecting people’s rights and dignity.
