The court order to extradite former Senior Vice President of the Insurance Corporation of Barbados Alex Tasker is being appealed.
On Wednesday, Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes ruled that there were enough grounds for the extradition order to be carried out and set a time frame of two weeks.
However, Tasker’s attorney Andrew Pilgrim Q.C., told CBC News that they have already filed an appeal against the judgement.
Mr. Pilgrim would not go into the specifics of the appeal but he believes there is no evidence to support the extradition.
