Hundreds more Barbadians are turning to the Welfare Department for help on the heels of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Evidence of this has been revealed by the Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey.
According to him, the number of clients coming for welfare has doubled, putting additional pressure on the Department to respond.
He gave the details during a meeting at the Radisson Aquatica Resort to discuss the current homeless situation in Barbados.
