Murder accused remanded

A St. Michael man charged in connection with the murder of two women has been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison at Dodds until September the 14th.

This after appearing in the District ‘A’ Magistrates court today.

29 year old Demetrico Ricardo Layne, of Grahams Alley, Nelson Street appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes charged with the murder of Olivia Cecelia Carter on July the 27th, 2020 and Odith Nicole Henriques on August the 2nd, 2021.

Police say he was not required to plead to the two indictable charges.

Officers say Carter’s body was discovered near Henry’s Lane and Henriques’ at Graham Alley.
