Officials are investigating reports of a suspected bus crawl.
The investigation by the COVID-19 Monitoring Unit and the Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) comes after photos and video clips surfaced on social media showing a number of people listening and dancing to music, and consuming what appears to be alcohol while on a local tour bus.
The current Emergency Management Directive states that no person shall host or attend a bus or other vehicular excursion.
Head of the Monitoring Unit, Ronald Chapman, says the Unit did not receive an application for a vehicular excursion, nor did it give permission for such an event to take place.
He says appropriate action will be taken once the Unit and the RBPF conclude their investigation.
