QEH receives ambulance from Barbados Muslim Association

October 22nd, 2021

The Barbados Muslim Association has gifted the Queen Elizabeth Hospital an ambulance.

The vehicle will assist with the transport of COVID patients from the Accident & Emergency Department to isolation centres.

Treasurer of the Association Azhar Pandor, in handing over the ambulance, says over the years they have contributed to the health care institutions with water coolers and other equipment.

However he says COVID has brought about other challenges and they will assist however they can.

The handover took place at the Makki Masjid Mosque in 6th Avenue Belleville, which is in MP Marsha Caddle’s St. Michael South Central constituency.

The QEH’s Dr. Harold Watson accepted the gift on behalf of the institution.

MP Caddle, who was sitting in for Minister of Health and Wellness Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic, says it’s a very timely donation to the Government.
