
St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement, the Office of the Prime Minister noted the 75 year old leader will quarantine until Monday, June 20th.
As such, Dr. Gonsalves will not be able to leave the country on Sunday, when he was expected to travel to Kigali, Rwanda to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
The release also noted that the Prime Minister has no adverse health reactions and is working at home.
Gonsalves is vaccinated against COVID-19 and says he has taken five COVID-19 jabs.
