A report introduced in the House of Assembly has raised questions about a number of cheques written to Opposition Leader, Ralph Thorne.
Deputy Prime Minister Santia Bradshaw read the document prepared by attorney at law Guyson Mayers from the floor of Parliament.
It details a number of what Ms. Bradshaw calls “irregularities” in the transfer of tenantry land by the Urban Development Commission.
A letter dated November 29, 2009 asks the Commissioner of Police to look into a number of cheque payments made to Mr. Thorne, who was listed as the attorney acting on behalf of the clients.
The Deputy Prime Minister has asked for the file pertaining to the investigation to be reopened.
