Barbados recorded 115 new COVID-19 cases, 49 males and 66 females, on Tuesday, March 22nd from the 806 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The cases comprise 18 people under the age of 18, and 97 who are 18 years and older.

There were 50 people in isolation facilities, while 862 were in home isolation.

As at March 22nd, the virus had claimed 329 lives.

The public health laboratory has carried out 605,395 tests since February 2020, and recorded 58,018 COVID-19 cases (26,890 males and 31,128 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of people with at least one dose is 160,832 (70.4 per cent of the eligible population).

The total number of fully vaccinated people is 150,743 (55.6 per cent of the total population or 66 per cent of the eligible population).

The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.
