There were 371 new COVID-19 cases, 164 males and 207 females, recorded on Wednesday, May 18, from the 1,362 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
Of the positive cases, 102 people were under the age of 18, and 269 were 18 years and older.
The number of people in isolation facilities was 89, while 4,134 were in home isolation.
As at May 18, there were 435 COVID-19 related deaths.
The public health laboratory has conducted 676,596 tests since February 2020, and recorded 78,138 COVID-19 cases (35,716 males and 42,422 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of people with at least one dose is 162,174 (71 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated individuals is 152,513 (56.2 per cent of the total population or 66.8 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those people who are 12 years and older.
