Cayman Islands’ Tourism Minister remains upbeat

The Minister of Tourism of the Cayman Islands, Kenneth Bryan remains upbeat about the benefits from the planned direct flights by Cayman Airways linking the British Territory and Barbados.

Mr. Bryan, who is also the Chairman of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation says the service has been welcomed, especially among citizens of the Eastern Caribbean, who live in the Cayman Islands.

Tickets for the service went on sale last Friday.

Mr. Bryan’s remarks came during a regional press briefing where the new Secretary General and CEO of the CTO, Dona Regis-Prosper was formally introduced.

Barbados and the region have also been told there is enough tourist market share for all Caribbean nations to thrive.

Minister Bryan has advised countries they don’t have to compete against each other, but rather work together.

Meanwhile, Secretary General and Chief Executive Officer of the CTO, Dona Regis-Prosper has committed to working with all CTO members to grow the region’s tourism industry.
