G20 countries told it’s time to pay up

There’s a suggestion it’s time for G20 countries to pay up, as it relates to climate financing promised to small island developing states in the south.

This from Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Baroness Patricia Scotland, who says G20 countries are the largest contributors to the climate crisis.

She was speaking during an interview with the Morning Report from Dubai, where she is attending COP28.

Baroness Scotland adds there are areas worth celebrating, such as the COP meetings which year on year have been making strides, as the private sector and businesses are realising the need to go green.
